DoorBird integration
1. Overview and prerequisites
This manual describes the complete configuration process for integrating a DoorBird IP Video Door Station (D-series) with the Linhome cloud SIP service and ComfortClick intercom app. Before starting with integration, make sure the devices are:
DoorBird IP Video Door Station (D10x, D20x, or D21x series) installed and powered
Local network with DHCP enabled (static IPs should be set via DHCP reservation on the router, not on the device)
The DoorBird Digital Passport document (included in the original packaging) — contains all device credentials and QR codes
A smartphone (iOS or Android) on the same local Wi-Fi network for initial setup
DoorBird App installed on iOS or Android — available from the App Store / Google Play
Linhome cloud account created:
Visithttps://subscribe.linhome.org/register/email and create a free account
Creating an account can also be done directly on the ComfortClick Intercom app
ComfortClick intercom app installed and logged in on an Android or iOS device
2. Linhome Account Credentials
A free SIP account on sip.linhome.org is required for the DoorBird to register. Prepare the following before starting:
Setting | Value |
SIP Proxy | |
SIP User | Your Linhome username (e.g. doorbird_front) |
SIP Password | Your Linhome account password |
SIP Address | sip:<username>@sip.linhome.org (e.g. sip:comfortclick@sip.linhome.org) |
3. Initial Device Setup
Before configuring SIP, the DoorBird must be connected to the local network and paired with the DoorBird app using the Digital Passport credentials.
3.1 Pairing the App with the Device
Open the DoorBird app on your smartphone.
Tap the + button or Add Device.
Scan the QR code from the Digital Passport document (the standard user QR code).
Follow the on-screen instructions. The app will connect to the device and confirm pairing.
⚠ Note: The Digital Passport contains two QR codes: one for standard users and one for the Administrator account. Both should be scanned and added — the administrator account is required for SIP configuration. |
3.2 Adding the Administrator Account
In the DoorBird app, tap the device name to open its settings.
Tap Add User / Scan QR Code.
Scan the Administrator QR code from the Digital Passport.
The app will add the admin account. You will now see an Administration option in the device settings.
3.3 Connecting to the Local Network
Option A — Wired Ethernet (Recommended)
If the DoorBird is connected via a PoE Ethernet cable, it will automatically obtain an IP address via DHCP. No further network configuration is needed. Proceed to Section 4.
Option B — Wi-Fi
In the DoorBird app, go to Settings → Administration (log in with the admin account).
Scroll down and tap Wi-Fi Settings.
Follow the Wi-Fi setup wizard. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
The device will reboot. Once it reconnects, it will announce 'Successfully connected to Internet' from its speaker.
3.4 Verifying Internet Connectivity
The DoorBird uses a voice announcement to report its connection status after startup:
Setting | Value |
1 tone + 'Successfully connected to Internet' | Device is fully online — proceed |
2 tones + 'No Internet' | Local network OK but no internet — check router/firewall |
3 tones + 'No Network' | No local network connection — check cable or Wi-Fi credentials |
4. Accessing Administration Settings
All SIP configuration is performed inside the Administration section of the DoorBird app. This section is only accessible using the Administrator account credentials from the Digital Passport.
Open the DoorBird app and select your device.
Tap the Settings icon (gear/cog) for the device.
Tap Administration.
Enter the Administrator username and password from the Digital Passport when prompted.
You are now in the Administration area. All settings described in Sections 5–7 are found here.
⚠ Note: The Administrator username ends in '0000' (e.g. 0412110000). This account cannot be deleted. If you cannot log in, ensure you are using the credentials from the original Digital Passport, not a regular user account. To use admin functions, your smartphone must either be on the same local network as the device, or the device must be online. |
5. DoorBird SIP Settings
With the Administration area open, follow these steps to configure the SIP connection to sip.linhome.org.
5.1 Opening SIP Settings
In the Administration area, scroll down and tap SIP Settings.
Enable the SIP activated toggle if it is not already on.
5.2 Entering SIP Credentials
Fill in the following fields with your Linhome account details:
Setting | Value |
SIP activated | ON (toggle enabled) |
SIP Proxy | |
SIP User | Your Linhome username (e.g. doorbird_front) |
SIP Password | Your Linhome account password |
DTMF | ON (enable to allow relay/door control via DTMF) |
Light PIN | Arbitrary PIN code followed by # (e.g. 1234#) |
Relay 1 PIN | Arbitrary PIN code followed by # (e.g. 5678#) — used to open the door |
Allow incoming calls | ON |
⚠ Note: The DTMF PIN codes allow the Linhome app user to control the DoorBird's built-in relay (door release) and LED light by entering the code on their phone keypad during an active call. Always terminate PIN codes with a # symbol. |
5.3 Adding a SIP call number
This defines which SIP address the DoorBird will call when the door button is pressed.
Go back to the main Administration area and tap SIP Numbers.
Tap Add.
In the Name field, enter a descriptive name (e.g. Linhome App or Front Door).
In the SIP address field, enter the full SIP address of the Linhome user to be called when the doorbell is pressed, for example: sip:<username>@sip.linhome.org
Tap Save
6. Schedule for Actions (Enabling SIP Calls)
By default, SIP calls are disabled on DoorBird devices. A schedule must be activated to allow the doorbell button to trigger a SIP call. This is a common step that is easy to miss.
6.1 For Single-Button Devices (D10x, D20x, D2101V, etc.)
In the Administration area, tap Schedule for Doorbell.
Tap the bell icon in the upper-left corner of the schedule screen.
Select SIP call from the list.
Tap the blue Activate All button in the upper-right corner to enable the schedule for all times. Alternatively, fill in specific hours/days as required.
Tap the back arrow to return.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner of the Administration page.
6.2 For Multi-Button Devices (D2102V, D2103V, etc.)
In the Administration area, tap Key Configuration.
Select the appropriate button.
Tap Schedule for Actions.
Tap the bell icon, select SIP call, and activate the schedule as described in 6.1.
Save when complete.
6.3 Enabling the Relay Schedule (Optional)
If DTMF-based relay control is required (e.g. to remotely open the door from the Linhome app), the Trigger Relay schedule must also be activated:
In the Schedule for Doorbell / Schedule for Actions screen, tap the bell icon.
Select Trigger Relay from the dropdown.
Tap the blue Activate All button to enable it for all times.
Tap back and then Save.
7. ComfortClick intercom App Configuration
The app must be configured to register to the same sip.linhome.org server, using the account that corresponds to the SIP call target entered in the DoorBird settings.
7.1 Adding your Linhome account into Comfortclick intercom app
Open the ComfortClick intercom app on your smartphone or ComfortClick wall panel.
Select Use a Linphone cloud account.
Enter Username and password (account was created earlier or create a new account as shown in the step 1).
You should get a “Linphone cloud account connected” message.
Pressing the call button on your Doorbird should ring the bell on the ComfortClick intercom app, doorbird camera should be visible and two way audio should be working as well.
