Project Description:
Developed by Sistemi Integrati SE Srl, this project provides complete smart control of a modern villa in Padova, optimizing both comfort and energy performance. All building systems including lighting, HVAC, air quality, and irrigation are managed through the ComfortClick bOS visualization.
The villa’s automation is designed to maximize energy efficiency, coordinating the use of heating, cooling, and ventilation with data from the photovoltaic system. By intelligently balancing generation and consumption, the system minimizes energy waste and keeps the villa’s annual energy requirement close to zero.
Through ComfortClick’s visualisation, residents can easily control all functions lighting scenes, blinds, temperature settings, and irrigation schedules from mobile devices or touch panels. The system also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa, allowing effortless control of everyday functions.
Communication between subsystems is achieved through multiple protocols: KNX for automation, BACnet and LON for climate management, Modbus for energy and system integration, and MQTT for EV charging. This ensures smooth interoperability and future expandability.
With ongoing updates planned, including integration of security and AI-based video surveillance, the project continues to evolve toward a fully autonomous and energy-neutral home. Villa Unifamiliare stands as a model for sustainable, intelligent living in residential automation.
